5. Why this project?
This project will help Imjai House first to reduce expenses of the orphanage, secondly to have enough good quality food for the children, thirdly to expand to the community and finally to be a center of a sustainable economic project.
Project Proposal
Background of the sustainable economic project:
The sustainable economic project started a long time ago from an idea of our beloved king to teach Thai people to understand the word “sufficient” that will help them be happy while this in globalization era. He did not only give the idea, but also showed it could be done by using local recourses to produce sufficient and good quality outcome.
The necessity of this project Imjai House Orphanage is a Non-profit organization and focuses on developing needy Children holistically, education, physical, social and spiritual. Throughout its 13 years of operation Imjai House Orphanage has depended on donations worldwide. The last few years, Imjai House has been impacted by economic depression. Therefore, it is necessary for Imjai House to have a sustainable project, first to reduce expenses and to earn enough income in the future to support all the children in its care. This project is not of benefit to Imjai House, but also to the community that we are. We plan to share this project when it is fruitful. Then they can learn from us and produce quality food for themselves. The products of this project will make people a healthy because it does not contain any insecticide that causes so many sicknesses, especially cancers. At the first start, Tawanchai Foundation will be our supervisor. This foundation works with handicapped people, helps them to gain income by themselves, not depending on others. Having three years of experience and success in this field, the team will help Imjai House to startand maintain this project until it is sustainable.
